Starting from the research and development of silk protein, we create new value across the healthcare, food, cosmetics, and materials sectors. We redefine the silk resources and craftsmanship Japan has cultivated through the lens of modern science, and—with our proprietary patented technology KARADA SILK® at its core— evolve them into the industries of the next generation.
Unlocking the potential of silk
through proprietary patented technology.
Our proprietary patented technology, KARADA SILK®, turns silk into an aqueous solution while preserving its porous structure.
By retaining its nanoscale mesh structure, it is expected to deliver high adsorption and beauty benefits.
A natural silk protein with an intricate mesh structure. This is where everything begins.
During processing, the structure breaks down—losing the very reason for using silk in the first place.
A world-first patented technology: an aqueous solution that retains its nanoscale mesh structure, delivering high adsorption and beauty benefits.
Driven by rising sustainability awareness and ethical consumption, alongside advances in research and technology, the silk market is on a growth trajectory.

Together with multiple research institutions and universities in Japan and overseas, we conduct joint research on the applications and broader potential of silk.
After serving as a general manager across multiple divisions at Amazon Japan, he served as director and head of the business division at a publicly listed company, helping grow its market capitalization to around ¥70 billion. He founded NEXT NEW WORLD in June 2021.
After graduating from the Faculty of Science at Kobe University, he worked on business and marketing strategy at Deloitte Tohmatsu Consulting. He joined NEXT NEW WORLD as its first employee in 2023, and since 2024 has overseen the entire business as a director.
To pass on a better planet and society to the next generation, we aim to draw out the potential of naturally derived materials through the power of science, and to build new industries.
The challenges facing modern society—climate change, resource constraints, and health issues—cannot be solved by any single company alone. Yet we believe that gradually transforming the everyday—food, healthcare, cosmetics, and materials—can become a powerful force for meaningful change in the society of the future.
Starting from silk-protein research and development, NEXT NEW WORLD has explored new functions and applications of silk in partnership with universities and research institutions in Japan and abroad. What we are taking on is not mere product development. It is to redefine silk—a resource Japan has cultivated for generations—through modern science and business development, and, by expanding it into the healthcare, food, cosmetics, and materials sectors, to create new markets and supply chains.
Beyond that lies a future in which we elevate the value of the entire silk industry and bring material technology born in Japan to the world.
To leave better choices for the future our children will live in,
we will create the next new world through the power of silk.
